Student's Letter of Thanks

Dear Kids’ Chance,
 
I am writing to thank you for your generous Kids’ Chance of Illinois Scholarship.  It means a great deal to me that my sister and I were selected as recipients of your scholarship.  Thanks to your generosity, pursuing my academic goals and future has become much more attainable, and for that you have my sincerest thanks.
 
I am a Geology major with a minor in Broadcast Meteorology.  I’m pursuing my goal of becoming a meteorologist and weatherman at Eastern Illinois University.  My twin sister is also pursuing her dream at her college in Oklahoma, and the financial strain of supporting us has fallen to our family. By supporting not just myself, but both of us, it is double the blessing for my entire household.
 
By awarding Kid’s Chance of Illinois Scholarship, you have lightened my financial burden and allowed me to pursue my dream without fear or distraction.  Your generosity is absolutely inspiring, and I hope to be able to give to others the way you’ve given to me and my family.  Thank you, and I hope someday soon I’ll be able to pay the kindness you’ve shown me forward to another.
